Removable Dentures
Why are Dentures necessary?
There are various kinds of dentures available, but all share a common function:
Replacing teeth that have become loose or lost.
Dentures are a removable replacement for missing teeth and can be either full or partial oral appliances. Natural, existing teeth may need to be prepared for dentures to fit properly. In some cases, teeth may need to be extracted and your mouth given a chance to heal before new dentures can be placed.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Immediate Dentures
An Immediate dentures is a type of denture that is being made prior to tooth extractions, and can be immediately put in once the teeth are removed. Dentures may require adjustments once healing takes place, and achieving optimal comfort and fit could take several appointments. After proper fit has been achieved the dentures may take some getting used to, but over time a patient’s smile is enhanced with this easy-to-care-for solution.
How to care for dentures
After you receive your dentures, you’ll be instructed on how to properly clean them to eliminate bacteria and other particle buildup. Make sure to handle your dentures carefully, and make sure not to bend or damage the appliance. It is important to clean your mouth and brush your dentures daily, and to soak the dentures overnight with a mild soaking solution.
Schedule regular check ups
Even with dentures, regular dental check ups are still necessary to have your dentures examined and professionally cleaned. We can also help make sure your dentures still have a proper fit to prevent slippage and discomfort.
Acrylic Complete Denture
A full denture either adheres to the roof of the mouth (upper denture) or balances on the gums (lower denture).
Acrylic Partial Denture
A partial denture is attached to the natural teeth with metal clasps or precision attachments that may be visible and interfere with speaking or chewing.
Metal Casted Partial Denture
As compared to conventional acrylic denture, Cast Partial Denture is stronger, more durable and retentive. Each denture is specifically designed and fabricated to the individual patient.
Silicon / Flexible Denture
Flexible dentures use a clear, soft base that allows the natural gums to show through. They are not brittle, and are unlikely to shatter if dropped. Flexible dentures are considered more comfortable than traditional dentures, and many patients find chewing and speaking easier.
